Over the course of two months I designed and manufactured a working air engine. The project helped me develop my manufacturing skills, gave me practice utilizing a laser cutter and injection molding techniques, and familiarized me with NX Modeling and FEA.

Flywheel Mold

The first component produced was the flywheel. To manufacture this piece a mold was designed in NX, and then a CNC program was created to cut the mold. The flywheel was then casted using pewter.
